Let Me Introduce Myself; My Name Is . . .

Hey guys, this entry is for a giveaway that Ketmany of Anything & Everything's Giveaway is holding. She wants me to give some info about myself, so that's why I'm doing this. Her blog is http://ketmany.blogspot.com/2009/06/my-first-giveaway.html. And it's actually good that she asked me to do this because aside from my profile, which I doubt people read anyway, I've not formally introduced myself to you guys, my followers, or least perhaps I haven't posted a blog that's solely focused on me and life rather than makeup.

Hey Ketmany, Here's my picture and my name is Krystia! This is a 'tropical' look that I did which I just love. It's very vibrant and has personality. Just a fresh, clean face and I let the eye makeup speak for itself, it really makes the face and eyes pop. Also, this look features my new natural, curly hairstyle after I cut off about 5-6 inches. I got tired of half of my hair being straight from perms, and then the new growth being so thick, so I clipped mostly all of the 'straight/permed' hair off. What do you think about it? I've received a lot of compliments on it about the shape and style. I guess I was lucky that it didn't come out looking like a hot mess!*_*! lol I live in Nassau, Bahamas with my mummy and 3 sisters, Krystal [my twin], Brittanie, and Brooklyn. My grandmother recently passed away in February, which was her birth month. She was 81 yrs. old, and suffered several strokes, falls and ailments, all of which made her health fail and the last year or two of her beautiful and vibrant life deteriate. My grammy was a 'go getter', so I'm thankful that her suffering is over and that she is able to reunite with her loved ones in heaven, and lead an everlastingly peaceful life. I've always been close to my family and I hold them very near and dear to my heart. When push comes to shove we always have each other's backs. And they offer some good advice and encouraging words, even when you'd rather not hear them. As far as me, finding this makeup world on blogger and YouTube has been a lifesaver, since I stopped going to school and have yet to find a job in this economy. Even foreign countries outside of Northern America are hurting from this recession. Anyway, I just seem to find such peace and happiness from contributing to this world, and I am continually encouraged whenever I log on and find new subcribers or followers, or comments on my blog!*_*! I didn't mean to sound that corny, but whenever I get into my 'writer' mode I can't really help myself, ya see! lol I suppose that I sould say "thanks" to Ketmany, since the requirements of her giveaway stimulated a small summary of myself, cool beans. I had the impression that it was a foundation setter, which is not the case. This weightless mist is created to make your makeup last throughout the day and look fresh so you don't have to touch up so many times and make your face look cakey and possibly harm your skin by clogging your pores. This is not the same as MAC Fix it+. It's a completely different product and is so much more complex than I had ever imagined. Cool Blue Tropical Eye

How to: Face: [Iman's Cream to Powder in Clay 3] -put concealer on trouble areas -put foundation over that and blend into face well -then blend in face powder all over until desired coverage is given -use a 'peach' shade of blush, to bring out the tropical effect of the look. Or mix a light pink & link peach shade together. Eyes: [ Mark's Speedway do Everything Makeup in Skin/Peau 6, Manly's 80 e/s Palette] -prime lids, let dry -draw a 'v' shape on the outer corner of lid with deep blue e/s - a light coloured 'cool' green e/s on the inner corner to 1/3 of lid, blend up into crease - a slightly deeper 'cool' green e/s on the rest of lid, blend up into crease - a yellow e/s over the green e/s on the first 1/3 of lid space, to lighten up the eye and show a range of colour, blend in well -now blend lightly & fade out the blue e/s on outer corner with blending brush, to get a faded effect. Add more blue if colour gets washed out -use a highlight e/s & apply under eyebrows, blend out harsh line -line top lashes with blk liquid liner, line bottom lashes with the same colour scheme, then put blk liner on waterline. Use mascara, comb eyebrows Lips: [Victoria Jackson pink gloss] -use chapstick/carmex first -apply neutral gloss, then put pink gloss over that, blend well Closing thoughts It's easier than it seems, just get your colours, and blend them in. Remember, that you don't need all or every colour listed, this can work with merely 2-3 shades.
